I'm calling a Clan meeting for next Monday at 8pm Eastern (5pm West Coast).  It will be in a private Rainbow Six Vegas lobby.  I'll open it up a few minutes before hand and send out invites.   Send me a message if you want to join and have not gotten an invite.

 
I'm working on some topics to discuss.  Please let me know if you have any specific topics you would like to discuss.


 

What do you have in mind? - I wont be there - 360 in transit to TX -

The main reason to have this meeting is to start a regular meeting schedule.  I've been researching clan management and it looks like most clans that are active and happy have regular meetings where members can get updated as to what is going on and suggest improvements, express options and ask questions.

I'm going to work on some talking points and I'll post them soon.

I'll take notes and post them Tuesday about what went on. 

Here's my current notes.  I've got some ideas about redefining and restructuring the clan and  I want to run them by everyone.  These are just my ideas and nothing is decided yet.

Define the Clan. It’s about Fun

• Loyalty – BLS is your only clan.
• Honor – No cheating, spawn camping, keep teams even
• Teamwork – Communication is critical
• Discipline – Following orders
• Maturity –

Roster Cleanup/Retirement

• Remove people we haven’t seen in a while
• Add anyone that’s missing
• Rules about retiring inactive members

Clan Structure

• Rank Structure
  • Council members
  • Regular members
  • Retired members
  • Guests
  • Screened applicants

Clan Job – Give back to the clan that you love

• Recruiting – recruiting parties,
• Events – Matches, inner clan matches, inner clan ladders
• Training – Classes, training manuals
• Website – Forum management, writing articles

Website Wipe - The software used on the website is going to have a major upgrade released in April. I’m thinking of archiving the current forums and starting fresh.

Good idea.

My only suggestion is to somehow differentiate a way for those who have been he for years and those who are newer member, but all still fall under the Regular member catagory, consider that the Council will only be a few select individuals. 

hey i still pop in on the forums once in a while, is there a way for retired members to be a rank that can still see the clan only section? or does retiring exclude one from that section? its all good, either way, im just wondering. i think it depends on what the council and more veteran members think, just throwing that question out there.

EDIT: or if they just stay the rank they were or like a diff version of it (ie retired private, retired sgt, whatever)

retired private? lol, thats hilarious

haha yeah well that way newer people would know if someone retired (not a private) outranked them

the private was just an example.

 I've got a calendar setup in Google that should have all the meeting times.   We didn't have one this week because I was on vacation.

 
Next Meeting in on Monday April 16th.  I've got it setup for once a month on the third Monday of the Month.
