First seen on E3, SEGA today announced that they will have their next-gen mech game ready for Xbox 360 next spring - and promised a "strong focus" on tearing chunks out of each other on Xbox Live.

Chromehounds is developed by From Software, the Tokyo-based developer most famous for its Armored Core series. However, Chromehounds will be more of a squad-based affair with strong focus on Live play, where you will be able to play as Squad Members or as the "Tactics Commander", who's responsible for guiding the team to victory by shouting commands to your fellow teammates through the headset. The game will support up to 12 players, and players will be able to customise the mechs with all types of equipment. So far we don’t know much about the single player mode as SEGA mostly talked about the Live part, but we will report back on Chromehounds as soon as we know more.

Damn, that is a slick color pallete. It reminds me of the graphics from the upcoming unreal engine 3. Hopefully it will have tactics and pace like mechassault.

The latest game out of the SEGA factory is Chromehounds for the Xbox 360. The game will see you battle it out on an online and offline battlefield in a custom designed Hound. The customisation will be at its peak when going online as you will see that no two hounds will be alike, instead you'll be fighting in your very own, unique robotic warrior. The achievement list has just been revealed and like many games it is long and will feature unlockable points in the story mode and also in the online world. In total there are 49 achievements totalling 1000 GamerPoints. Take a look at the full list below (please note there are seven secret achievements not present in the list).  Scout Complete - Complete Scout arc in Story Mode.  Soldier Complete - Complete Soldier arc in Story Mode.  Sniper Complete - Complete Sniper arc in Story Mode.  Gunner Complete - Complete H. Gunner arc in Story Mode.  Defense Complete - Complete Defender arc in Story Mode.  Command Complete - Complete Commander arc in Story Mode.  All Tact. Complete - Complete all missions in Story Mode.  Tact. Instructor - Top marks in every Story Mode mission.  Hover Specialist - Deploy on hover Chassis 50 times.  Wheel Specialist - Deploy on wheeled Chassis 50 times. Biped Specialist - Deploy on bipedal Chassis 50 times. Inverse Specialist - Deploy on inverse Chassis 50 times. Tread Spec. - Deploy on treaded Chassis 50 times. i will tell u now this is the app. i never been so happy with a game an absolute 10 but realisticly it will get a 9.5

thiers 7 missions for each class in single player    soldier  sniper  scout  defender heavy gunner my fav and cammand hound ..the single player is very easy and it will last the average player 15 to 20 hours the whole single player is mostly training for online the story line is very political and is reflective of todays real world politics in a post apocalyptic earth. it is a little slow as far as movement but very manageable and u can obtain parts from fallen enemys to later upgrade your hounds performance via customization. there is 187 interchangabl parts to mix and match for a unique looking and acting hound mixing classes to suit your prefrences and things of such. i would tell u of the online but i could go on for days and frankly noone knows shit no matter what they read or hear until thier actually playing the game but i will say the online is in depth as all hell plenty on news to read hourly to see which way the battle is shifting and what terrotories are under threat. technological advancements for winning nations and lotterys u can apply for as a squad to obtain rare parts exclusive to the lottery winners u can even give money to political campaigns to put a politician in c harge that best suits your  nations needs . or get beaten into nothing and make no money and have no land and be forced to have a guerilla war but dont die cuz u got to pay for repairs and your nation could end up oweing money. mabe if u r ucky an opposieng naton sees your help as essential and can donate your country ten million to pull it out of a slump. u like your homies mech? well if your nie he can send u the schematics u just pay for parts and bam there you go. ok i could go on forver. but i wont lol

and for those wondering what  combas is from te achievment list a comba is a radio tower u have to secure multiple towers on a map in order to communicate . u r try to build a radio grid so u can chat and communicate which is essential

yeah i hope u guys like it or ill cry . but either way it wont stop me i have a back up squad composedor workmates we will have anunfair advantage hopefully i can lure them to bls but i think thier doing thier own thing

So how is the clan thing gonna work out? Will we have set squads or what? Isnt it only like 20 people in a group or what?

yes 20 is the limit its kinda wierd though cuz i believe u have to be in a squad which is a problem for non bls members like 50 % of my friends list . i guess  they will just have to convert lol.  we will have to dive into it and checkthat out cuz i dont want to be limited o playing with only bls i would never get to play. there is player matches and deathmatches but whos really gonna want to play those accept maybe in beggining to screw around . if worse comes to worse we can form 2 bls clans one capitals one not IF we get over twenty people but we can always boot nonactive members and let em back in when they are around .either way we can pimp it . and im gonna say this now i will not be the cammand mech i just ant to kill shit. cammand mech aka (mobile radar) = no thankyou..but who is gonna becasue its essential?
