    Graphics creation

I was wondering what you all would recommend for a graphics creation software (a la Adobe Photoshop).

I'm looking for the best value, IF I have to pay...you know, most functions for least money...

I would first look at using The Gimp,  If you don't like that then try Paint Shop Pro, it has a free trial and you can pick it up in most software stores for around $100.  PSP will open Photoshop files and most any other graphic file format and has most of the features of photoshop.

The Gimp kicks ass, so many plug ins and even an animation plug in that kicks ass. It has a decent learning curve and aint exactly a pretty program but it gets the job done.

Yeah, I knew about GIMP, but couldn't find the download...thanks, Car, for resolving that problem.

I used GIMP on my OLD computer, you know, 386 with Windows 3.1...yeah, like, middle school...I'm downloading the new one as I type.

    Thanks again.
