Black Label Suicides

I'm building a new computer for Nancy for X-mas.  Here is basicly what I'm going to build let me know what you guys think.  It has a purple theme going.

If anyone knows where I can get good purple Cold cathode lights or cheap purple 5mm LED's let me know.

    That case is Hella tight. It should be in the movie "The Fast and The Furious"  Schweeeeeeet!

I was thinking that it's going to need something special on the side of the case you can't see in that picture.  I found a website that will print a big custom sticker that I could stick on that panel.  I'll need to get a screen shot of her City of Hero's character and her old Anarchy Online character and see if I can't put them together in a cool graphic.

Airbrushing might be better than a sticker?

Airbrushing would be better but I don't know anyone that can airbrush.  With the sticker I just find a cool background paste in her game characters and send it off to those guys to have it printed.

Man I been doing the math on the size of the image I would need to send to them for a side panel.  The Panel is 16.5" x 17" and at 200 dpi so when you add an extra inch in each direction that ends up being 3500x3600 pixels.  Now the source image I'm looking at is 1280x1024 so I need to enlarge 351.5625%.  You know what that means.  Pixelation  Thats bad...  I wished I payed more attention in my computer graphics class.  I know we had some cool ass algorithems to enlarge stuph.  I'm going to look for a fractal enlarger...

I worked out a decent way of enlarging the image...  What I did was enlarge the same image to to target size using every meathod I could find.  Then I blended the best parts of the image from all the meathods.

For the image I was working on using a Biliner filter and enlarging 110% at a time until it was the correct size worked really good.  It smoothed out the jaggies but blurred some of the finner detail.  I used the bicubic filter with the same meathod for some of the detailed areas of the image. 

I've ordered all the hardware today,  I'm hoping to have the thing done by next weekend.  I think I'm going to hold off on the sticker and save that as a gift for an other time.

I don't about in your area, but RadioShack has a pretty decent supply of LED's of various sizes, power, and brightness.

And no, this is not me doing a plug for the place I work for...usually I shy people AWAY from crappy RS stuff...

I've looked at the RS LED's and I don't remember seeing Purple LED's.  I'll check the RS website..

from there website it looks like they just have the standard ones (red, blue, green, yellow, white)
