You can get live with both versions..... But it goes without saying that you should get the premium edition. Its just a better deal than getting the core system, $300, seperate hard drive (that may I remind you, you need to save 360 games, and to play xbox1 games with), $100, media center remote, $30, live headset I believe is $15 and it comes with the puck, and that chrome finish to the surface of the premium edition disk drive, priceless..... Well not really but I like shiny things.
So all in all if you bought the premium edition you would save about $45 dollars. You could buy a used 360 game with that money.
