Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed at a show lastnight in ohio by an obsessed fan which blamed him for the break-up of Pantera. Dimebag was shot in the face 4-5 times, Pat "the damageplan singer"was reported to have been shot in the leg and 2 concert-goers were killed aswell along with the shooter. News reports state that the shooter just walked from backstage straight to Dime and shot him in the face then kept shooting his body then fired at other bandmates before turning to the crowd and taking a hostage before a responding officer was able to shoot and kill the attacker. This for me is honestly one of the saddest days in my life as he was the sole reason for my own introduction into playing the guitar, although i never actually "knew" him he still was a brother to me and his soul will always be with me and my music. Please take the time even if you have no idea of who this rock legend was to salute him with the respect he deserves and a healthy dose of liquor...i know i will.
