    Yea, I had a psu burn up on my modded xbox ( i have 2), and it cost me a hundred bucks to get it fixed Angry....... it also happened to a friend of mine, n he just bought a new one. The moral of the story is that Micro$oft has failed yet again. (o yea, and on a totally unrelated note, someone cracked part of the code M$ uses to sign xbox games HAHA!!)

    yeah, that really sucks, everyone who has an xbox that has a manufactured date before Oct. 2003 (I think that is what it was) should get the replacement cord, just to make sure you don't have something screw up.     Yeah, it looks like Microsoft wants the power cord to match the size and weight of the Xbox.

    That doesn't look good.  There must be something seriously wrong inside the xbox's power supply if they need to replace a standard AC power cord with a cord that has a circut breaker on it. 

    The rumour I head is:

    Early model Xboxes have the powerjack soldered onto the motherboard only attached with the 2 pins for the power. If it gets plugged in & out a lot and moved around, these eventually cause the solder to break and it arcs. Newer models have rivets holding the jack in place.

    Yeah, it just looks like a really big rumor to me, but who knows....and Bobby, Xbox 360 is just a code name, Microsoft is keeping the real name a big secret, hopefully we will find out in May, at E3.  By the way, I received my replacement cord, and it is not as big as the picture implies.
