    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI, which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. Full facial animations and lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to life like never before.

Download new items in Bethesda's forthcoming epic...

The Official Xbox Magazine has today revealed Bethesda’s plans to integrate Xbox Live Marketplace support in the forthcoming epic RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

It’s claimed that players will be able to log on and download new items such as banners for your steed and the possibility of new quests. Currently it’s unknown whether a fee will be attached to such downloads, although we’d expect to be whacking out the wallet for the slightly more elaborate downloads…

Today Take Two Interactive announced the street date for the upcoming XBox 360 and PC title Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion.  The game is scheduled to release on November 24th which further enforces the November release date for the 360.  Looks like Oblivion might not make launch day, but a week will surely not kill anyone.
