i just bought a new computer.. gateway 835G PentiumD processor, DVD -+RW, Intel graphics accelerator 950, 250 GB SATA HD..

if anyone can tell me some good pc games that are out i'd appreciate that.. i've got call of duty and brothers in arms right now.. so any suggestions would be great..

i'm also getting my broadband connection back in about a week.. hopefully.. so any online games that you guys may play i'd like to know as well.. i'm gonna try and get back in the gaming world so look out for me in about a week on pc games and xbl..

Buddah,what's up? For PC I play Wolfenstein, Doom3, SOF, Painkiller, Max Payne and Serious Sam these are a few great titles.

yeah i was looking at doom3 when i bought the pc.. don't know why i didn't get it..

Half-life 2 ftw! You'll need your internet up before you get it though, as Steam requires an internet connection (ant-piracy stuff). Doom 3's good as long as you've got a GREAT video card (which, if you got the pc I looked at on Gateway's website, is pretty decent) and a decent monitor and dark room...turning the lights off for that game is great. Marine Sniper Elite is the latest version of the game we were looking at when we were both at Best Buy, and is one awesome fucking sniper game. Those are single-player (though the multiplayer for HL2 is a blast).

Only real online game I'm playing now is City of Heroes, and debating whether or not I want to preorder City of Villains. I also play a ton of Albinoblacksheep games...

ok that was weird.. it posted without me pressing post.. anywho.. what is a good graphics card?.. i've been out of the pc game for a long damn time..

The graphics card is a piece of hardware that handles the bulk, if not all, of the video processes for the PC's applications, thus freeing up the CPU to handle everything else. The better the graphics card, the smoother and more detailed the games will look. If your PC is the one I looked at on gateway's site, you've got a GeForce 6600 128MB card in there which, while not top-of-the-line, is still a really nice card.

DUMBASS!!.. lol.. i said what is a good graphics card.. not what is a graphics card.. lol..

now that i got that out of my system.. what would be a card i can upgrade too.. a really nice card just isn't good enough i want something that will last for a good while.. or at least for what a good while is compared to the PC industry..
