Ahh so you're using wolfenstein as a prep for lockdown. Well I hate to break it to you bud, but the old rainbow's gameplay mechanics have been completely decimated and have been changed for the worse and for the better.

im not preping at all i just wouldnt mind tryin RTCW

Hell, using RTCW as warmup for Rainbow wouldn't work anyway...they're too different in every aspect...if anything, Lockdown feels more like RTCW than the previous ones.

Besides, Lockdown will be great, but nothing will ever beat RTCW in terms of sheer fun. Except maybe Crimson skies.

i just with i could play either right now(demo for lockdown).. but i will agree that rainbow is no where close to rtcw..

When you say that rainbow will never compare, do you mean those balancing issues because I agree with you on that.

ok i've bought rtcw again.. since my first one doesn't load depot anymore.. so when i get my connection friday.. yes.. i said friday.. as in 8-26-05 as opposed to what i thought b4 in next friday.. so yeah.. 2 more days till i'm pickin people off..

But Bob, I was refferring to the sheer number of differences in gameplay. RTCW -v- Rainbow 6 3 isn't fair because RTCW is faster-paced, with a much looser hit detection (as my targets quickly realize), while Rainbow required a much more cautious approach, and better aim (in sniping at least...stupid auto-aim feature).

Lockdown now, thankfully, has given an option to turn OFF the auto aim, while keeping the hit detection of the originals. It's also nice how the movement is smoother and slightly faster now. So Lockdown does feel more like a modern RTCW than RS3 did.

i don't think i'll be registering any flight plans.. but i will let bullets fly.. and super heros reign supreme.. just not feeling the desert fox right now.. i want to shoot.. or fight..

Well, when you get CoH up and running, get in touch with me and we'll hit the streets. A buddy of mine at work has a chat server we plan on using for that (since I talked him into picking it up too) so you just need to get yourself a PC mic (can get cheap ones just about anywhere).

As for bullets, you know damn well we're having sniper matches again...DEPOT FTW!!
